TLSPROXY

TLSPROXY puts automatic Let's Encrypt TLS in front of every service on your server, so many names can share one port while each backend gets exactly the encryption treatment it needs. Terminate TLS and hand plain text to a local service. Pass raw TLS straight through when the proxy should see nothing. Or terminate and re-encrypt towards a TLS backend, with client certificates checked on the way in. QUIC and HTTP/3 connections terminate here too, and Encrypted Client Hello keeps even the handshake private. Certificates arrive and renew by themselves through http-01 and tls-alpn-01 challenges, PROXY protocol headers preserve real client addresses, and SNI routing with round-robin balancing spreads names across backends. People get in with OpenID Connect, SAML, or passkeys; the same sign-in can mint short-lived SSH user certificates, and built-in certificate authorities manage client and backend credentials for you. Static sites can be served straight from disk, TPM-backed keys keep private material in hardware, and a built-in console shows what the proxy is doing. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. MIT licensed.

Benefits

  • Certificates Nobody Babysits
  • Let's Encrypt certificates are requested and renewed automatically through http-01 and tls-alpn-01 challenges for every server name, so TLS expiry stops being a calendar event on your servers.
  • Every Backend, Its Own Mode
  • Terminate, pass through, or re-encrypt per backend across TCP, TLS, QUIC, and HTTP services, with SNI routing and round-robin balancing sharing one public port safely.
  • Sign-In Built Into The Proxy
  • OpenID Connect, SAML, and passkeys protect HTTP backends at the edge, and the same SSO identity can issue short-lived SSH user certificates for shell access.
  • One Binary, Hardware Keys
  • A single Go binary runs the proxy, its certificate authorities, and its console, with optional TPM-backed private keys keeping certificate material inside hardware instead of on disk.

Features

  • Automatic Let's Encrypt
  • Certificates for every server name are obtained and renewed through http-01 and tls-alpn-01 challenges, with local certificate files supported when you bring your own.
  • Four Proxy Modes
  • TCP, TLS, TLSPASSTHROUGH, and QUIC modes decide per backend whether traffic is decrypted, forwarded untouched, or re-encrypted, all routed by the SNI in the handshake.
  • SSO And Passkeys
  • OpenID Connect, SAML, and passkey authentication guard web backends, with JWT issuance and a local OIDC server available when your applications expect tokens.
  • SSH Certificates From SSO
  • After a user signs in, TLSPROXY can issue SSH user certificates from its built-in authority, turning one web identity into short-lived shell credentials without shared keys.
  • Proxy Protocol And ECH
  • Incoming PROXY protocol headers are accepted only from trusted CIDRs and can be forwarded to backends, while Encrypted Client Hello hides server names during the handshake.
  • Console And Static Serving
  • A built-in console backend reports proxy activity, and LOCAL mode serves static files from disk, so small sites need no separate web server behind the proxy.
