Drive

Somewhere in every organisation there is a folder called FINAL_v2 that nobody dares delete, and Drive from La Suite exists to end that. It gives teams a shared file space where uploads land in organised workspaces, versions stay findable through search, and every file or folder carries its own access list. You preview PDFs, images, audio, and video in the browser, and office documents open for editing through Collabora or OnlyOffice without downloading a thing. Sharing reaches outside the organisation too: invite external partners by link, even without an account, and revoke access the moment a project ends. Uploads pass malware scanning before they touch storage, a trash bin restores accidents, and quotas with usage metrics keep big archives honest. Administrators plug in their own OIDC identity provider, so logins follow the same single sign-on as the rest of the stack, while an embeddable file picker lets other internal apps reuse Drive as their document library. Because the data lives in your own S3-compatible storage, sovereignty requests stop being an argument with a vendor and become a setting. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. MIT licensed.

Benefits

  • Shared Files, Controlled Access
  • Every file and folder carries granular permissions; share with teammates, whole workspaces, or outside partners, and revoke access when projects end instead of chasing copies by email.
  • Edit Office Files Inline
  • WOPI integration opens documents in Collabora or OnlyOffice directly in the browser, so teams write and comment together without downloading local copies that drift apart.
  • Safe Uploads, Reversible Mistakes
  • Malware scanning checks files as they arrive, and a trash bin with restore plus permanent deletion protects against accidental removals and bad drops from any client.
  • Your Storage, Your Rules
  • Files live in your own S3-compatible bucket with quotas and usage metrics per workspace, and OIDC single sign-on ties every login to your existing identity provider.

Features

  • Drag And Drop Uploads
  • Files and folders upload by drag and drop into workspaces, with browser previews for PDF, images, audio, and video, plus search and filters to find them again.
  • WOPI Document Editing
  • The WOPI protocol connects Collabora and OnlyOffice, so spreadsheets and documents edit in place in the browser with the same file shared by the whole team.
  • Granular Sharing Controls
  • Configurable permission levels per file or folder, workspace-based sharing, and external invitations that let partners without accounts view or edit only what you grant them.
  • Malware Scan And Trash
  • Uploaded files are scanned for malware before storage, and the trash bin restores deleted work or purges it permanently, with storage metrics and quotas keeping usage visible.
  • OIDC Single Sign-On
  • Any OpenID Connect provider handles authentication, so teams sign in with existing organisational accounts; a Keycloak-based example ships for clusters that need one out of the box.
  • Embeddable File Picker
  • A File Picker SDK embeds Drive into third-party applications, letting internal tools browse, pick, and store documents in the same governed library instead of local silos.
