Tabularis

Instead of installing a different client for every database engine on your servers, Tabularis gives you one SQL workspace in the browser that speaks to PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and SQLite directly, and to 26 more engines through installable driver plugins. The SQL editor autocompletes real table and column names as you type, runs multi-statement batches into separate result tabs, and can draw any result set as a bar or line chart. Notebooks mix executable SQL cells with Markdown and charts, sharing variables across cells for repeatable reports and investigations. You can edit rows inline in a virtualized grid that tracks pending changes before committing, build queries by dragging tables onto a canvas that writes the SQL for you, and generate an ER diagram from the live schema to see how everything connects. Natural-language prompts turn into SQL through OpenAI, Anthropic, Ollama, or any compatible endpoint you configure. Results export to CSV, JSON, or Markdown, whole databases dump to SQL files, and scheduled daily backups keep copies without manual effort. Connections reach databases through SSH or Kubernetes tunnels, and the built-in MCP server lets agents like Claude and Cursor inspect schemas and run queries under your control. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. Apache-2.0 licensed.

Benefits

  • One Client For Every Database
  • Connect to PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, and SQLite natively, then add engines like DuckDB, ClickHouse, Redis, or MongoDB as plugins instead of learning a new tool for every database you operate.
  • Browser Access On Your Server
  • Tabularis Web serves the full workspace from your own machine over HTTP, so the team opens connections, notebooks, and settings in a browser with no desktop installs to deploy or update.
  • Queries You Can See
  • Chart result sets, explore ER diagrams generated from the live schema, and assemble notebooks that mix SQL, Markdown, and charts into reports you can rerun instead of screenshots you cannot.
  • Backups Without The Babysitting
  • Schedule daily database backups, dump and import whole databases as SQL files with progress and cancellation, and export any result to CSV, JSON, or Markdown for the next tool in your chain.

Features

  • Monaco SQL Editor
  • Type SQL with autocomplete on real table and column names, run multi-statement batches into result tabs, cancel long queries, and inspect execution plans visually.
  • Visual Query Builder
  • Drag tables onto a canvas, join them visually, and watch the equivalent SQL generate in real time before you run or save it.
  • Interactive SQL Notebooks
  • Combine SQL cells, Markdown notes, and charts in one document, share variables between cells, and rerun the whole investigation end to end.
  • Driver Plugin System
  • Any executable speaking JSON-RPC over stdin and stdout becomes a database driver, which is how 26 engines from ClickHouse to Firestore are supported.
  • Built-In MCP Server
  • External AI agents connect over MCP to read your schema and run queries in the same workspace, with approvals under your control.
  • Scheduled Database Backups
  • Back up databases daily on a schedule, dump or import SQL files with progress tracking, and keep exports streamed and cancellable.
