Roamgate

Close the laptop, keep the agents: Roamgate brings the Herdr workspace running on your server into any browser, so the terminal session you left mid-task is waiting on your phone exactly as you left it. Every workspace and recognized agent sits in one view: check what each agent is doing, read its conversation, and take over a real terminal with streaming output, split panes, scrollback, multiline paste, and clickable links. When the agent finishes, the review happens in the same place: inspect staged, unstaged, untracked, and branch changes, annotate exact diff lines, preview rendered Markdown, and send compiled feedback back into the agent pane without pre-filling a submission you did not approve. Files browse beside the terminals, and session history survives disconnects because Herdr owns the sessions, not your browser tab. Connections stay flexible: run the bridge beside Herdr on one machine, save SSH profiles to reach remote hosts, and install the whole thing as a PWA for an app window without tabs. Login is required even on loopback, push notifications flag agents waiting for input, and themes, accents, and terminal fonts make the cockpit yours. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. MIT licensed.

Benefits

  • Sessions outlive your browser
  • Herdr owns the terminal sessions on the server, so closing the laptop or losing the connection never kills an agent mid-task: reopen Roamgate from any device and the workspace is exactly where you left it.
  • Review where the work happened
  • Staged, unstaged, untracked, and branch changes open beside the terminal that produced them, with line-level annotations you can compile and send back into the agent pane as feedback.
  • A real terminal, not a snapshot
  • Streaming terminal panes support splits, full scrollback, multiline paste, clickable links, file previews, and IME-safe input, so remote work feels like sitting at the machine rather than watching it.
  • Local or SSH, same cockpit
  • Save local and SSH connection profiles per browser, install Roamgate as a PWA, and get push notifications when an agent needs input or finishes, with login enforced even on loopback.

Features

  • Browser and PWA client
  • A single bridge binary serves the web client over HTTP and WebSocket beside Herdr, installable as a progressive web app on desktop and mobile for a tab-free workspace.
  • Diff viewer with annotations
  • Inspect working-tree and branch changes, comment on exact diff or source lines, reorder comments, and pre-fill an agent's input with your compiled review, never auto-submitting it.
  • SSH connection profiles
  • Local and remote Herdr servers connect through saved SSH profiles, with files, Git operations, uploads, and hooks executing on the host that owns the workspace.
  • Agent monitoring view
  • Every workspace and recognized coding agent appears in one list with live activity, conversations inspectable as chat, and Web Push notifications for input-required and completed tasks.
  • Ranger workspace assistant
  • An experimental assistant inspects workspace context, runs supported management operations, and schedules background checks, available on desktop and mobile through the same bridge.
