Mycorrhiza

Most wikis bury your writing inside a database you can never quite export cleanly; Mycorrhiza keeps every page as a plain file you can open, edit, and back up with ordinary tools. Each unit of content is a hypha, a page that can be an article, an image, or a video, and hyphae transclude and link to one another so related notes weave into a dense hypertext network instead of a stack of isolated pages. You write in Mycomarkup, a markup language designed to stay unambiguous while remaining quick to type, and categories organize pages without forcing a rigid hierarchy, although nested hyphae are there when you want one. Every edit is committed to Git automatically, giving the wiki a complete, inspectable history, and recent changes flow out as RSS, Atom, and JSON feeds. Keyboard shortcuts drive navigation for people who live in the editor, authorization supports plain accounts or Telegram login, and Open Graph metadata makes shared pages preview properly elsewhere. Interwiki links connect your wiki to others, and because there is no database to provision, a single small binary serves the whole site. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. AGPL-3.0 licensed.

Benefits

  • No Database To Manage
  • All content lives as plain files on disk, so installation, backup, and migration use ordinary file tools, and you can edit pages directly without touching the web interface.
  • Git History For Everything
  • Every change is committed to Git automatically, producing a complete audit trail and recovery path for the whole wiki using the version control tools your team already knows.
  • Pages That Transclude Each Other
  • Hyphae embed and link to one another across text, images, and video, so shared fragments update everywhere at once and related notes form a navigable knowledge network.
  • Feeds And Open Sharing Built In
  • Recent changes publish as RSS, Atom, and JSON feeds, while Open Graph metadata and interwiki links make pages preview and connect cleanly across the wider web.

Features

  • Filesystem Page Storage
  • Hyphae are stored as plain files in a directory tree with no database server, so the entire wiki can be copied, grepped, or versioned with standard tools.
  • Mycomarkup Authoring Language
  • Pages are written in Mycomarkup, an unambiguous markup language with headings, links, transclusion, tables, and embedded media designed specifically for this wiki engine.
  • Git-Backed Revision History
  • Each edit creates a Git commit, and the interface exposes page history and recent changes with RSS, Atom, and JSON Feed syndication for subscribers.
  • Categories Without Hierarchy Limits
  • Category pages group hyphae across the wiki without folder restrictions, while optional hypha nesting supports strict hierarchies for teams that prefer them.
  • Accounts And Telegram Login
  • Authorization supports locally defined username and password accounts plus Telegram login widget sign-in, with per-user permissions controlling who can edit and administer.
