HAProxy Manager

HAProxy Cluster Manager puts a web console on top of HAProxy, so you publish services, issue certificates, and cluster nodes from forms instead of hand-editing haproxy.cfg. Publishing a service takes two inputs, the public URL and the backend address, and the wizard builds the frontend, backend pool, host condition, routing rule, HTTPS listener, certificate, and HTTP redirect, with a preview of the exact configuration before anything applies. Every change is rendered and checked with haproxy -c before it is written, and a failed reload rolls back to the previous file automatically. Certificates come from Let's Encrypt through acme.sh, using HTTP-01 or DNS-01 with about 190 DNS providers, and renewals reload HAProxy and push the new certificate to every node on their own. Any number of nodes share one virtual IP through Keepalived: configuration and certificates sync between them, only the node holding the address is editable, and the dashboard flags split brain, an unclaimed virtual IP, or a node running stale configuration. You can gate services behind basic sign-in or OIDC single sign-on enforced by HAProxy itself, watch traffic statistics and logs, take transition alerts by email, Pushover, or webhook, and expose Prometheus metrics and Home Assistant entities. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. GPL-3.0 licensed.

Benefits

  • Publish Services Without Config Files
  • Give the wizard a public URL and a backend address and it generates the frontend, backend pool, routing rule, certificate, and HTTPS redirect, previewing the exact haproxy.cfg before applying it to your nodes.
  • Certificates That Renew Themselves
  • Let's Encrypt issuance through acme.sh covers HTTP-01 and DNS-01 across roughly 190 DNS providers, warns about wildcard and hook mistakes before issuing, and reloads HAProxy and pushes renewed certificates to every cluster node automatically.
  • Real High Availability Built In
  • Nodes share an IP through Keepalived with one active and the rest standing by, configuration and certificates sync between them, and the UI surfaces split brain, unclaimed addresses, and stale nodes before they cause outages.
  • Nothing Applies Unchecked
  • Every rendered configuration must pass haproxy -c and keepalived -t before it is written, an automatic rollback follows a failed reload, and Settings keeps the last 50 configuration states with diffs for one-click restore.

Features

  • Publish Wizard and Recipes
  • Two-input publishing for HTTPS and raw TCP services, plus recipes that pre-fill Patroni PostgreSQL, MariaDB Galera, and common self-hosted applications with matching health checks, timeouts, and alert thresholds.
  • Let's Encrypt via acme.sh
  • HTTP-01 and DNS-01 issuance with about 190 DNS provider hooks, a testing CA option for setup, self-signed placeholders until the first real certificate lands, and automatic renewal pushed cluster-wide.
  • Keepalived Node Clustering
  • Any number of nodes share a Keepalived virtual IP with push-based sync of configuration and certificates, revision fingerprints that show agreement at a glance, and read-only passive nodes.
  • Sign-in Enforced by HAProxy
  • Basic authentication with SHA-512 crypt userlists or OIDC single sign-on through Authentik, Keycloak, Authelia, Pocket ID, Google, or Entra, enforced at the proxy so unauthenticated requests never reach backends.
  • Watchdog and Monitoring
  • A per-node watchdog restarts failed services deliberately, the active node requests every published URL like a browser each minute, and email, Pushover, webhook, Home Assistant, and Prometheus integrations report problems.
