MiBee NVR
Your cameras should answer to you, not to a vendor cloud, and MiBee NVR turns an ordinary server into a complete video recorder that keeps every frame on your own disks. The surveillance grid shows all cameras live at once with per-camera health scores, while the recordings timeline marks AI-detected events so you can jump straight to the moment that matters instead of scrubbing hours of empty hallway. ONVIF cameras joining the network are discovered and enrolled automatically, and a camera that changes its IP address is relocated by serial number and reconnected without your intervention. Adaptive recording watches the compressed stream and drops calm scenes to a timelapse-grade baseline, cutting disk use by 75 to 98 percent on static views while a pre-buffer guarantees no frames are lost when motion resumes. You can push video in from remote publishers over RTMP, SRT, or WHIP, re-serve every camera as an RTSP feed, and browse the recording library from a TV through DLNA. Browser-side AI detection flags people and motion with no inference server to maintain, and Prometheus metrics with ready-made Grafana dashboards expose per-camera stream and storage health. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. AGPL-3.0-only licensed.
Benefits
- One Binary, Zero Dependencies
- The whole recorder ships as a single static Go binary with the Svelte web interface embedded, starting in about 122 milliseconds and idling near 38 MB of memory on modest hardware.
- Adaptive Recording Saves Disk
- Compressed-domain motion analysis drops calm scenes to a timelapse baseline and restores full rate on activity, cutting storage by 75 to 98 percent on static camera views without losing frames.
- Cameras Enroll Themselves Automatically
- ONVIF devices appearing on the network are discovered and enrolled in the background, and cameras that pick up a new IP address are found again by serial number and reconnected automatically.
- No Cloud, No Subscription
- Footage, live streams, and AI events stay on hardware you control, with remote viewing through your own Tailscale, WireGuard, or Cloudflare Tunnel setup instead of a vendor account or monthly fee.
Features
- Multi-Protocol Camera Ingest
- Records RTSP, ONVIF, Xiaomi CS2 and TUTK, and GB/T 28181 SIP cameras, plus push-in publishing from remote sources over RTMP, SRT, and WHIP with H.264 and H.265 support.
- Low-Latency Live Viewing
- The embedded Svelte 5 interface streams live video over WebRTC with WHEP, LL-HLS, and HTTP-FLV, with WebCodecs H.265 playback, PTZ controls, and two-way talk for door stations.
- Browser-Side AI Detection
- ONNX Runtime Web with WebGPU acceleration runs person and motion detection inside the viewer browser, marking events on the recordings timeline with no separate inference server required.
- Stream Relay And Restreaming
- Every camera is re-served at its own RTSP address, relayed to remote RTMP or RTSP targets, and exposed to televisions as a DLNA media library of recordings.
- Prometheus Metrics Built In
- Around 100 nvr_ prefixed Prometheus metrics cover per-camera streams, storage, and playback, with ready-to-import Grafana dashboards, alert rules, and optional OpenTelemetry tracing via OTLP.
