Engraphis
Engraphis is a durable memory layer for coding agents that answers questions like what did we decide about the auth layer three weeks ago, and why, with inspectable project memory that survives across sessions and repositories instead of evaporating when a chat ends. Store a decision once and recall it later in a new session, scoped by workspace, repository, and session so one project's facts never leak into another's context. Recall blends vector, lexical, graph, and code-aware retrieval, then packs the strongest evidence into a hard context budget your agent can actually use. Every returned fact keeps its provenance attached, and the engine cites its support or abstains when the evidence is too weak to trust. Facts are never silently overwritten: bi-temporal history preserves earlier versions, and a timeline view surfaces superseded knowledge when you need to know what used to be true. Index a repository into a code-symbol graph and ask what calls a function before you change it. Conflicting or quarantined memories wait in a review queue for a human decision. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. Apache 2.0 licensed.
Benefits
- Agents Remember Across Sessions
- Decisions, constraints, and project facts persist between chats and repositories, with a last-session handoff so a fresh agent session starts from what the previous one learned instead of rediscovering it.
- Recall That Shows Its Evidence
- Hybrid vector, lexical, graph, and code search returns bounded context with provenance for every fact. When supporting evidence is weak, the engine abstains rather than inventing an answer.
- History Instead Of Silent Overwrites
- Bi-temporal versioning keeps earlier versions of changed facts, and the timeline can show superseded versions, so you can audit what the agent believed, when it changed, and why.
- Local SQLite, Fully Offline Capable
- The complete memory core stores everything in a local SQLite file and works offline with no cloud account, signup, or API key, and the file is yours to inspect and back up.
Features
- Smart MCP Gateway
- Nine Smart MCP tools cover sessions, prompt-ready recall, durable memory writes, governed record updates, conflict review, and capability discovery, with a Classic compatibility server for direct-tool clients.
- Code Symbol Graph
- Repository indexing parses modules, functions, classes, calls, imports, and inheritance with tree-sitter AST analysis, linking code symbols to memories that mention them for structural search.
- Self-Hosted WebUI Dashboard
- The engraphis-dashboard WebUI serves a visual memory browser on port 8700 for searching, inspecting, and maintaining stored knowledge across workspaces, repositories, and sessions.
- Memory Governance Controls
- Pin, correct, retire, and link memories inside strict workspace and repository scopes, with pending, quarantined, and conflicting records routed to a conflict review queue before use.
- Temporal Timeline Queries
- Query memory as of a valid time or known time, filter to only superseded versions, and review how project knowledge evolved across sessions with full version history.
