tirreno
tirreno watches what accounts actually do inside your product, then surfaces the ones that look like account takeover, credential stuffing, fake signups, or insider abuse. Your backend reports events such as logins, registrations, page views, searches, email changes, and field edits through an SDK or one HTTP call, and a scheduled job turns them into per-user context: devices, IP addresses, sessions, and connected identities. Preset rules cover account takeover, credential stuffing, content spam, bot detection, multi-accounting, promo abuse, dormant accounts, API protection, and high-risk regions, and you can add rules of your own. Each rule adds to a risk score, and thresholds decide whether a user is flagged for manual review or suspended automatically. The review queue lists who needs a look, and the single user view shows behaviour patterns, risk scores, connected identities, and an activity timeline. A field audit trail records what changed and when, which supports compliance reviews, while the logbook lists every API request the instance received. Your application can ask a blacklist endpoint whether a user or IP should be blocked before it responds. An optional IP enrichment pack adds geolocation, ISP, and VPN or proxy detection. All event data stays on your own server. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. AGPL-3.0 licensed.
Benefits
- Catch account takeover early
- Rules for takeover, credential stuffing, bot activity, and multi-accounting score every user from behaviour, so risky logins reach a review queue before data leaves or money moves.
- Keep security data on your server
- The framework is self-hosted, so event logs, identities, and risk scores stay in your own PostgreSQL database instead of flowing into a third-party fraud vendor's cloud.
- Audit who changed what, when
- The field audit trail records previous and new values with timestamps for important fields, giving compliance teams a clear history for GDPR, SOC 2, or PCI-DSS reviews.
- Block bad actors in real time
- Your application can call the blacklist API before serving a request, so users or IP addresses that tirreno has flagged are stopped immediately instead of after the next report.
Features
- Event ingestion API
- Backend SDKs and a POST sensor endpoint accept logins, registrations, page views, searches, and field edits with user, IP, and device context, queued for a cron job.
- Rule engine and risk scoring
- Preset rules for takeover, credential stuffing, spam, bot detection, and promo abuse add to each user's score, and custom rules extend the engine with product-specific checks.
- Review queue and thresholds
- Score thresholds flag users for manual review or suspend them automatically, so analysts work through a ranked queue instead of raw event logs.
- Single user view
- Shows behaviour patterns, risk scores, connected identities, devices, IP addresses, and an activity timeline for one account, speeding up incident investigation and forensics.
- Field audit trail
- Records which fields changed, their previous and new values, and when, giving internal applications an audit history for compliance and insider threat reviews.
- Docker Compose quick start
- A one-line curl command fetches a Compose file that starts the application and PostgreSQL, a web installer finishes setup, and cron processes queued events.
