Imagor Studio
Imagor Studio is a photo workspace where browsing a huge library and editing what you find happen in the same place, and the originals never get touched. The gallery scrolls virtually through thousands of images with no indexing wait, while drag-and-drop moves files between folders and multi-select handles bulk work. Open any image and the editor lets you stack layers: other images as overlays or watermarks, text layers you can style inline, and solid color layers with blend modes and opacity. Adjust color, apply effects, and crop with a live preview, then copy the generated transformation URL and use that rendition anywhere without exporting a file. A look you build once can be saved as a template in portable JSON and applied across the whole library, so a watermark, a resize, and a color grade become one reusable recipe. You can also start from a blank canvas at any dimensions and compose from scratch. Storage stays yours throughout: point it at a local folder, S3, MinIO, or Cloudflare R2 and manage the same library the same way. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. AGPL-3.0 licensed.
Benefits
- Originals are never modified
- Every edit is a URL-based transformation rendered on the fly by imagor and libvips; source files stay byte-identical, so experiments, crops, and watermarks can never damage the master image.
- Thousands of images, instant browsing
- Virtual scrolling renders only what is on screen, so libraries of thousands of photos open and scroll immediately with no indexing pass, no thumbnail backlog, and no waiting.
- Build an edit once, reuse everywhere
- Layered edits save as portable JSON templates that apply the same resize, overlay, text, and color recipe to any other image in the library with one action.
- Your storage, your choice
- The same gallery works over a mounted local directory or S3-compatible storage such as MinIO and Cloudflare R2, so the library can grow from a folder into object storage without migrating tools.
Features
- Layered compositing editor
- Stacks image, text, and color layers with independent transformations, blend modes, and opacity; text edits inline with font, size, color, and alignment controls on the canvas.
- Reusable JSON templates
- Editor state saves as portable .imagor.json templates that can be applied to other images, shared, and turned into signed imagor URLs through the GraphQL API.
- Virtual scrolling gallery
- Browses folders of thousands of images with drag-and-drop organization, multi-select bulk operations, and keyboard navigation, rendered efficiently with no upfront indexing.
- URL-based transformations
- Resizing, cropping, color adjustments, and effects are expressed as imagor URLs generated instantly for preview, copying, download, or thumbnails, powered by libvips processing.
- Flexible storage backends
- Works with local filesystem mounts and S3-compatible storage including MinIO and Cloudflare R2, with SQLite for application data in a single Docker container on port 8000.
