PicPeak

PicPeak is a self-hosted gallery platform where photographers deliver event photos to clients through private, branded links that expire on their own schedule. Every gallery gets a share link, an optional password, and a QR code that exports as PNG, SVG, an A6 table card, or an A4 poster, so a reception can put the gallery on every table. Guests browse in one of seven layouts, from grid and masonry to carousel and timeline, and react with likes, favorites, star ratings, comments, emoji reactions, or color labels. For a party, open the gallery to guest uploads, hold the finished edit back with Reveal Mode until a scheduled moment, and put the optional Live Slideshow link on a projector so new photos appear as they arrive. Theme presets, custom colors, logos, fonts, CSS, and CMS pages keep the studio's brand in front, while bulk ZIP downloads, capped download sizes, watermarking, and right-click blocking control what guests take home. An analytics dashboard tracks views, unique visitors, and downloads. Beta modules add face grouping that runs in a separate container on your own server, plus quotes, contracts, invoices, and customer accounts for studios. Media sits on local disk or any S3-compatible bucket, OIDC single sign-on lets a team log in through an identity provider, and API tokens and webhooks connect PicPeak to automations. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. MIT licensed.

Benefits

  • Galleries that expire on schedule
  • Each gallery carries its own password, expiry date, and download rules, and expired galleries are archived automatically, so client photos never stay online longer than you intended.
  • Guests add photos, you reveal later
  • Open a gallery to guest uploads during the party, then keep the finished edit hidden with Reveal Mode until a scheduled moment, so the best shots land all at once.
  • Your brand on every delivery
  • Theme presets for weddings, birthdays, and corporate events, custom colors, logos, fonts, and CSS, plus seven gallery layouts, make each delivery look like your own studio instead of a third-party service.
  • Your server, your storage choice
  • Photos and thumbnails live on local disk by default or in any S3-compatible bucket, including MinIO, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, Wasabi, and DigitalOcean Spaces, chosen through environment variables rather than code changes.

Features

  • Share links and QR codes
  • Each gallery has a copyable link, branded short URLs with rich social previews, and a QR code exportable as PNG, SVG, an A6 table card, or an A4 poster.
  • Photo management and proofing
  • Upload in bulk, search by filename, organize with categories and folders, filter by likes, favorites, ratings, and comments, export selections, and move unwanted photos to the trash.
  • Themes and white-label branding
  • Theme presets with live color preview, logo and typography controls, header and layout options, per-event custom CSS, and editable CMS pages carry the studio's identity into every gallery.
  • Analytics dashboard
  • See page views, unique visitors, downloads, top pages, and device breakdown over selectable date ranges, next to storage usage and system health in the admin panel.
  • Live Slideshow and face grouping
  • An optional fullscreen slideshow link picks up new uploads for projectors, and opt-in face grouping runs in a separate container on your own server so guests can find their photos.
  • Access control and integrations
  • Multi-admin roles, OIDC single sign-on, API tokens, and webhooks secure the admin panel and connect it to automations, while right-click blocking and canvas rendering discourage saving photos.
