Dynacat
Monitoring dozens of self-hosted containers, RSS feeds, and web services from a single customizable startpage becomes effortless with Dynacat, a dynamic dashboard engine driven by declarative YAML configuration and live data widgets. You can arrange multi-tab layouts in the browser-based visual editor by dragging widgets across columns and picking color themes, and Dynacat automatically writes every adjustment back to your configuration file. Built-in widgets aggregate RSS and Atom feeds, Reddit communities, Hacker News, Lobste.rs, YouTube channel uploads, Twitch streams, weather forecasts, stock and crypto market tickers, and software releases across GitHub, GitLab, Codeberg, and Docker Hub. Homelab operators can inspect and control Docker containers, track server CPU, memory, and disk mountpoints, monitor AdGuard Home or Pi-hole DNS statistics, view Sonarr and Radarr release calendars, and manage torrents across qBittorrent, Deluge, and Transmission from one screen. For custom services, the visual widget builder connects to any JSON endpoint and binds UI blocks to response fields without manual template coding, while the Dynawidgets catalog imports community widgets with a single slug. Every widget refreshes independently on its own schedule and exposes cached data through a local JSON API, with OpenID Connect group rules securing private admin pages. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. AGPL-3.0 licensed.
Benefits
- Bidirectional Visual Editor and YAML Sync
- Drag and drop widgets across columns, add pages, and customize color themes directly in the browser while Dynacat writes clean updates back into your human-readable YAML files.
- All-in-One Homelab and Media Visibility
- Combine Docker container controls, server hardware telemetry, AdGuard Home and Pi-hole DNS metrics, multi-client torrent status, and Sonarr or Radarr release calendars on a single screen.
- Visual Custom API Widget Builder
- Connect to any external REST API by pointing the visual builder at a JSON endpoint and binding UI blocks to response fields, or install community Dynawidgets using a single slug.
- Granular OIDC Page Access Control
- Integrate OpenID Connect identity providers and assign group restrictions to individual dashboard tabs, allowing public status pages to coexist alongside authenticated administrative views.
Features
- Independent Live Widget Refresh
- Configure per-widget update intervals and cache durations so live feeds, server monitors, and market tickers refresh automatically in the background without reloading the page.
- Aggregated Feeds and Social Streams
- Follow RSS and Atom feeds, Reddit subreddits, Hacker News, Lobste.rs, YouTube channel uploads, and Twitch live streams with collapsible lists and thumbnail previews.
- Multi-Client Torrent and Media Widgets
- Monitor active downloads and speeds across qBittorrent, Deluge, and Transmission instances simultaneously while tracking upcoming episodes and movies from Sonarr and Radarr.
- Docker Controller and Host Telemetry
- Inspect container health, start or stop Docker services, and monitor host CPU load, memory consumption, network speedtests, and storage mountpoints in real time.
- Release Tracker Across Code Forges
- Track new software tags and container image updates across GitHub, GitLab, Codeberg, and Docker Hub repositories with optional pre-release filtering and daily caching.
- Local JSON Data Export API
- Query the built-in JSON API from external scripts or automation tools to reuse data already fetched and cached by your configured dashboard widgets.
