Bragibooks
A folder of loose audiobook chapters goes in; a single, perfectly tagged m4b library comes out. Bragibooks is the operations board for that transformation: you select a batch of audiobook folders from your server, and it searches AudiobookDB to match each one with the right title, author, narrator, and release, with a custom search on hand when the first match is wrong. Confirmed books enter a processing queue where m4b-merge merges split mp3, m4a, and m4b parts, converts formats, strips stale metadata, and writes clean, consistently tagged files while you watch the live job output in your browser. Saved output profiles let you route different batches to different directories or path formats, and the books library keeps every finished title with its metadata, files, and processing history a click away. The whole thing runs as one container with the interface built in, a SQLite database on a mounted config volume, and access restricted to your local network by default, with an optional API key for external tools. Audiobook collectors use it to tame download folders before importing into their player of choice, and hoarders of split-chapter rips finally get uniform Chapter 01 style files. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. GPL-3.0 licensed.
Benefits
- Split Chapters Become Single Books
- Drop in a folder of loose mp3 parts and receive one merged m4b with standardized chapter markers, cleaned tags, and correct title, author, and narrator metadata written into the file.
- Metadata Matched For You
- Every selected folder is matched against the community AudiobookDB database for title, author, narrator, and release. Wrong first guesses are fixed with a custom search before anything is processed.
- A Queue You Can Watch
- Batch jobs run in the background with live m4b-merge output streamed to the browser, so a three-hour conversion is something you monitor instead of a process you blindly trust.
- Private By Default
- The interface answers only loopback and LAN addresses out of the box, with no account and no telemetry. An optional server-generated API key unlocks external tools when you actually want them.
Features
- Batch Intake Browsing
- Browse the mounted input directory from the web interface and multi-select audiobook folders or files to start a processing session in seconds.
- AudiobookDB Matching
- Batch and focused match modes compare your files against AudiobookDB releases, presenting recommended editions with cover, author, and narrator details for confirmation.
- m4b-merge Processing Engine
- The bundled m4b-merge tool with ffmpeg merges, converts, cleans, and retags mp3, m4a, and m4b sources into standardized single-file audiobooks.
- Saved Output Profiles
- Named presets pair an output directory with a path format; a profile is snapshotted into each queued job so later edits never move work already in flight.
- External API Keys
- Enable the External API in Settings to mint a bk_ bearer key for scripts and other tools; only its SHA-256 digest is stored on the server.
