Managing Your Apps
Dashboard
Live instance status, project tags, search, sort, and filter tools for managing your deployments
Dashboard Overview
Your dashboard is organized into tabs: Projects, Favorites, Settings, Referrals, Support, API / MCP, and Billing. The Projects tab (the default view) lists all your deployed instances, each with a status badge. While a project is in progress, the page checks its status about every 5 seconds and stops when all projects have settled. The tab also offers project organization tools and, for an Online, Paused, or Error instance, quick access to its manage page.
Live Status
Every project shows a status badge. The badge updates by itself only while a project is in progress (about every 5 seconds); otherwise reload the page to check it:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Online | Application is running and accessible |
| Deploying | Initial deployment in progress — includes a progress indicator; the row says it usually takes 3-7 minutes (Container App) or 5-10 minutes (VPS App) and “We’ll email you when it’s ready” |
| Updating | A redeploy you asked for is in progress (about 4 minutes) |
| Paused | Instance is paused. A Container App is billed at 25% of its tier price and in full for its extra SSD; a VPS App is billed at the full rate whether it is paused, powered off, or paused for a zero balance. A powered-off VPS shows Paused |
| Error | Something went wrong — use the Get Help button to open a support ticket |
| Checking status | Shown while the status is being determined (rare) |
While a project is in progress, the page asks for its status every 5 seconds, pauses while the browser tab is hidden, stops when all projects have settled, and stops quietly when your sign-in expires. When a deployment finishes, the row is replaced in place on the dashboard after “Ready!” (a manage page reloads itself). The progress bar is an estimate: it waits at 99% until the status really changes. A change after everything has settled, such as a pause for a zero balance, shows after you reload the page.
Project Tags
You can organize your instances with custom tags:
- Click Add tag (or Edit tags when the project already has tags) on a project row; the button has a tag icon
- Type a tag and press Enter to add it (e.g., “production”, “staging”, “client-x”). A project can have up to 10 tags of 24 characters each, and a duplicate that differs only in case is merged
- Tags are saved at once and persist across sessions
Tags appear as small badges on each project row and can be used as filters.
Search, Sort, and Filter
The dashboard toolbar at the top of the Projects tab appears once your account has two or more projects (and JavaScript is on). It provides:
- Search — filter by project name, app name, tag, or web address
- Sort — Newest first, Oldest first, Name A–Z, App A–Z (the app’s name in alphabetical order), or Status
- Status filter — chips named All, Online, In progress, Paused, Needs attention, and Unknown, each with a count; only the groups that exist among your projects are drawn, and clicking the active chip clears it
- App filter — show only instances of a specific application (the dropdown is drawn only when your projects use two or more different apps)
- Tag filter — show only instances with a specific tag (with several tags chosen, a project must carry every one of them)
These filters are applied client-side for instant results. All filters can be combined. The count line reads “X of N projects shown”, and “Clear filters” appears when nothing matches.
Instance Actions
Each project row provides:
- Manage — a button on Online and Paused rows that opens the instance’s full management page. An Error row shows Get Help (it opens a support ticket) and a quieter Manage link; a deploying row has neither, and its title is plain text
- Web address — the address of an Online app is a link in the row’s meta line, and the link opens a new tab. A paused app, a deploying app, and a bare Ubuntu VPS list none
- App name — opens the app’s marketplace page in a new tab
