Magento Open Source

One admin panel, many storefronts: Magento Open Source is a free ecommerce platform for selling online under separate domains, category trees, languages, and currencies from a single install. Catalog managers create simple, configurable, grouped, virtual, bundle, and downloadable products and organize them with categories and attribute sets. Merchandisers assemble CMS pages, blocks, and product and category content in Page Builder by dragging rows, columns, tabs, banners, sliders, videos, and product lists onto a visual stage. Catalog price rules and cart price rules with coupon codes drive promotions, and customer groups such as Wholesale and Retailer can get targeted discounts and their own tax class. Shoppers browse the Luma storefront theme and check out as guests or with accounts. Staff then take each order through invoice, shipment, and credit memo, while Multi-Source Inventory tracks stock across warehouses, stores, and drop shippers. Built-in sales, customer, and product reports show what sells, and Login as Customer lets permitted staff view the storefront as an opted-in shopper sees it. Import and export tools move products and customers in bulk, and the REST and GraphQL APIs let ERPs, shipping tools, and headless front ends read and write store data. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. OSL-3.0 licensed.

Benefits

  • Run Several Stores From One Install
  • Websites, stores, and store views share one Admin, so a brand can add a second domain, a regional catalog, or a French storefront without installing and maintaining another copy of the platform.
  • Build Pages Without Writing Code
  • Page Builder, bundled with Open Source since 2.4.3, is the default content editor, letting merchandisers drag rows, columns, banners, sliders, and product lists onto a visual stage for CMS pages and blocks.
  • Control Your Store And Its Data
  • The platform is free to download and run under OSL-3.0, and your catalog, customers, and orders live in a MySQL or MariaDB database on a server you choose, with no platform subscription.
  • Extend It With Marketplace Add-Ons
  • The Magento Marketplace lists thousands of third-party extensions and templates, and the REST and GraphQL APIs let developers connect ERPs, shipping tools, or custom storefronts to the same catalog.

Features

  • Flexible Product Catalog
  • Simple, configurable, grouped, virtual, bundle, and downloadable products cover size and color variants, kits, services, and digital files, organized with categories and attribute sets.
  • Page Builder Editor
  • A drag-and-drop stage with Layout, Elements, Media, and Add Content panels assembles CMS pages, blocks, and catalog content from rows, columns, tabs, banners, sliders, videos, and maps.
  • Multi-Store Management
  • Websites, stores, and store views scope domains, root category trees, languages, and currencies, so one Admin can run regional or brand-specific storefronts with different settings.
  • Promotions And Pricing Rules
  • Catalog price rules discount products before the cart, cart price rules add coupon codes, and both can target websites and customer groups such as Wholesale and Retailer, with priorities.
  • Orders And Inventory
  • Orders move through invoices, shipments, and credit memos in the Admin, while Multi-Source Inventory assigns stock to sources such as warehouses, stores, and drop shippers.
  • REST And GraphQL APIs
  • Web APIs expose catalog, customer, and order data over REST, GraphQL serves storefront queries for headless front ends, and integrations authenticate through OAuth tokens.
