JellyGlance

Running a Jellyfin or Emby server usually means a dozen open tabs; JellyGlance folds your whole media server into one screen you can leave open on a wall. Live sessions show who is watching what, from where, on which client, with direct play or transcode state, codec, bitrate, subtitles, and progress for every stream. Playback history accumulates in its own database, so statistics survive even when the media server forgets: top movies, series, libraries, clients, and users, watch-time trends, activity heatmaps, and weekly, monthly, and yearly recaps rendered as shareable cards. The home dashboard arranges by drag and drop, with presets, density controls, themes, kiosk mode for a wall display, and alert rules. Recently added shelves group by library, while library views surface totals and metadata gaps. Jellyseerr and Overseerr requests appear with poster cards, requester context, and admin actions, and the release calendar pulls upcoming titles from your *arr apps beside the queues of your torrent and Usenet clients, stalled items included. Wizarr invites, Tdarr transcodes, and Maintainerr cleanup connect from the same integrations area. Notifications travel by webhook, Discord, Gotify, and email newsletters, backups export to a plain folder, and sign-in spans local accounts, Jellyfin Quick Connect, and OIDC. Running on a dedicated VPS on RepoCloud with guaranteed CPU, RAM, and SSD, full root SSH access, and a browser serial console. MIT licensed.

Benefits

  • One Screen For The Server
  • Live sessions, recent additions, request queues, download queues, sync jobs, and health signals gather in one dashboard. The routine morning check of a media server stops being a tour of six browser tabs.
  • History The Server Keeps
  • JellyGlance keeps its own PostgreSQL record of what played, by whom, and on what device, and can import Jellystat, Tautulli, or Playback Reporting history. Years of viewing survive migrations and rebuilds intact.
  • Recaps Worth Sharing
  • Weekly, monthly, and yearly recaps turn watch-time trends, heatmaps, and top titles into shareable cards. Users see their year in media without you screenshotting a statistics page for each person.
  • The Whole Stack, Connected
  • Jellyseerr and Overseerr requests, *arr release calendars, download client queues, Wizarr invites, Tdarr transcodes, and Maintainerr cleanup all surface in one integrations area instead of separate forgotten dashboards.

Features

  • Live Session Detail
  • Every active stream shows user, device, client, codec, bitrate, subtitle and audio tracks, direct play or transcode state, and runtime progress for instant diagnosis.
  • Statistics And Heatmaps
  • Top movies, series, libraries, clients, and users rank by real playback, with watch-time trends and activity heatmaps. Full playback history and per-user dashboards with favourites and Continue Watching sit alongside.
  • Requests With Context
  • Jellyseerr and Overseerr requests render as poster cards with filters, requester context, source badges, availability checks, and admin actions, while upcoming *arr releases fill a calendar beside download queues.
  • Notifications And Newsletters
  • Webhooks, Discord, and Gotify carry alerts with delivery history, and email newsletters keep users posted. Alert rules on the dashboard decide which events are worth interrupting you for at all.
  • Backups And Sign-In Options
  • Export and restore from the Backup page into a plain folder you can inspect. Sign-in spans local accounts, Jellyfin Quick Connect, and OIDC with role mapping.
