# Submit Your App

> Submit your application to the RepoCloud marketplace

## Add Your App to the RepoCloud Marketplace

RepoCloud welcomes developers and companies to submit their applications to the marketplace. Anyone with a RepoCloud account can submit an open-source application for the catalogue. An app the team lists has its own catalogue page with a **Deploy Now** button. Listing is decided by the team and is not automatic.

## Benefits of Listing Your App

> **A Catalogue Page**
>
> A listed app gets its own catalogue page that appears in search and in its categories. Signed-in visitors can favorite it, and visitors can start a deployment from it with Deploy Now

> **Simplified Distribution**
>
> Once the team lists it, your app is deployable in one click, with installation handled by the platform. The Deploy page still asks for a project name, a plan and the settings the app needs

## Types of Apps We Accept

RepoCloud lists self-hosted, open-source applications of many kinds. The groups below are the ones the catalogue holds; the team decides what it lists:

> **Development Tools**
>
> IDEs, code editors, version control tools, testing frameworks, CI/CD solutions, and other tools that enhance the development workflow.

> **Deployment Platforms**
>
> Application platforms, PaaS solutions, container orchestration tools, and serverless frameworks that simplify deployment.

> **Databases & Storage**
>
> Database systems, object storage, caching solutions, and other data storage or management tools.

> **Monitoring & Observability**
>
> APM tools, log management solutions, metric collection systems, and dashboards for monitoring application performance.

> **Security Tools**
>
> Vulnerability scanners, security testing tools, compliance checkers, and identity management solutions.

> **Content Management Systems**
>
> Headless CMS platforms, traditional CMS solutions, and other content management tools.

> **E-commerce Platforms**
>
> Online store platforms, payment processing systems, and e-commerce enablement tools.

> **Analytics Solutions**
>
> Data analytics platforms, business intelligence tools, and reporting systems.

> **Productivity**
>
> Note-taking, task management, document and personal organization tools.

> **Privacy**
>
> Tools built to keep your data and your activity private.

> **Media**
>
> Media servers, galleries, and tools for music, photos, and video.

> **Automation**
>
> Workflow automation and integration tools.

> **Collaboration**
>
> Tools that teams use to work together on documents, projects, and tasks.

> **AI**
>
> Applications that use or serve AI models.

> **Chat & Communication**
>
> Chat servers, messaging platforms, and other communication tools.

## Application Requirements

To ensure a quality experience for our users, applications listed on RepoCloud are expected to meet certain requirements. These are what the team looks at when it considers a submission; the submission form checks none of them:

### Technical Requirements

1. **Docker Compatibility**: Applications must be containerized with Docker or compatible with our container platform
2. **Documentation**: Comprehensive documentation for installation, configuration, and usage
3. **Security**: Adherence to security best practices with no known critical vulnerabilities
4. **Performance**: Efficient resource usage and appropriate performance characteristics
5. **Scalability**: Support for horizontal or vertical scaling when applicable
6. **High Availability**: Support for redundancy configurations when applicable

## How to Submit Your App

Submitting an application takes just a few minutes:

**1. Open the Submission Form**

Log in to your RepoCloud account and go to [repocloud.io/submitapp](https://repocloud.io/submitapp). It is also linked as "Submit" in the site footer and in the Explore rail of the home page; a signed-out visitor is sent to the login page first

**2. Fill In the Details**

Provide the project name (2 to 128 characters), a link to the application's repository (up to 265 characters, e.g., `https://github.com/example/app`), and a description of the application. All three are required

**3. Accept the Terms**

Read and agree to the [Terms & Conditions](https://repocloud.io/terms); the checkbox is required

**4. Submit**

Click **Add App to Marketplace**. RepoCloud stores your request, emails you a confirmation and tells the team. The team decides whether and when to list the app: nothing is published automatically, and no review time is promised. To run your own code on a server without waiting for a listing, use [AI Deploy](https://repocloud.io/docs/deployment/ai-deploy.md).

## Questions?

If you have questions about submitting your application or want to discuss a partnership, [open a support ticket](https://repocloud.io/support/new) (it needs a signed-in account) or, if you have no account, email [team@repocloud.io](mailto:team@repocloud.io).
