# Quickstart Guide

> Create an account and deploy your first application on RepoCloud

## Create Your Account

**1. Sign Up**

Visit [repocloud.io/register](https://repocloud.io/register) and create your account. New accounts get free credit when they confirm their email.

**2. Verify Your Email**

Check your inbox for a verification email and click the confirmation link.

**3. Log In**

Go to [repocloud.io/login](https://repocloud.io/login) and sign in.

**4. Secure Your Account (Optional)**

In the **Settings** tab, enable two-factor authentication (2FA) using any TOTP app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, Bitwarden, etc.).

## Choose Your Deployment Path

RepoCloud offers three ways to deploy applications. Pick the one that fits your use case:

**Container App (Quickest)**

Deploy a managed container — no SSH, no server management, automatic SSL. Best for most users.

**1. Browse the Marketplace**

Go to the [marketplace](https://repocloud.io/results/) and find the application you want to deploy.

**2. Click Deploy Now**

On the app's detail page, click **Deploy Now**.

**3. Configure**

Enter a project name. **Autoscale** is off by default: leave it off to pick a fixed tier, or switch it on and the billed tier follows usage (see [Autoscaling](https://repocloud.io/docs/pricing/autoscaling.md)). Fill in any app-specific settings (for example, admin credentials).

**4. Deploy**

Click **Deploy App**. Your application is typically ready in 3–7 minutes. The dashboard shows live deployment progress.

Your app gets an auto-generated HTTPS URL. You can [add a custom domain](https://repocloud.io/docs/manage/custom-domains.md) later.

**VPS App (Full Control)**

Deploy a dedicated Ubuntu server with root SSH access and set it up yourself. To have an application installed for you, use the AI Deploy tab.

**1. Top Up Your Balance**

A VPS App needs a balance above $3. If the Deploy page asks for a deposit, add credit on [Billing](https://repocloud.io/billing).

**2. Pick the Ubuntu VPS**

Browse the marketplace and select [Ubuntu VPS](https://repocloud.io/docs/deployment/ubuntu.md), a plain Ubuntu 24.04 LTS server with nothing installed on it.

**3. Select a Tier**

Tier 2 (2 GB RAM, $6 a month) is the smallest VPS tier, and every VPS App starts at 2 GB of RAM.

**4. Deploy**

Click **Deploy**. The VPS is provisioned with a dedicated IPv4 address. The manage page shows the server's address and its `ssh root@` command, and **Email Me** sends the root password to your email. Server provisioning typically takes 1–2 minutes.

**AI Deploy (GitHub Repository)**

An AI agent can install a GitHub repository, such as Coolify, Dokploy, OpenClaw, Hermes Agent, or any other public project, on a VPS of yours while you follow and steer it in a chat.

**1. Top Up Your Balance**

AI Deploy needs a balance above $3, like every VPS App. If the form asks for a deposit, add credit on [Billing](https://repocloud.io/billing).

**2. Go to AI Deploy**

Visit [repocloud.io/ai-deploy](https://repocloud.io/ai-deploy).

**3. Paste Your GitHub URL**

Enter the URL of a public GitHub repository.

**4. Choose a Tier and Deploy**

Select a tier (Tier 2, $6 a month, is the smallest) and click **Deploy**. RepoCloud creates the server and the agent researches the repository, then installs and configures it over SSH. You follow the work in a chat and can steer it.

Read [The DevOps AI Agent](https://repocloud.io/docs/ai-agents/devops-ai-agent.md) to see what the agent does and how to steer it.

## After Deployment

Once your application is running:

> **Monitor on the Dashboard**
>
> The [Dashboard](https://repocloud.io/dashboard) shows all your instances with live status indicators. Use search, sort, and filter to manage multiple deployments.

> **Add a Custom Domain**
>
> Connect your own domain through the manage page. Container Apps and VPS Apps both use CNAME records: a VPS App's record points at the server's default domain, not at its IPv4 address. A server named Ubuntu VPS has no custom-domain feature. See [Custom Domains](https://repocloud.io/docs/manage/custom-domains.md).

> **Scale Resources**
>
> A Container App with autoscaling switched on re-chooses its billed tier every hour. A fixed Container App changes tier on the Scale Server page and a VPS App on its manage page; a VPS tier change can never make the disk smaller, and a resize can be refused. See [Autoscaling](https://repocloud.io/docs/pricing/autoscaling.md) and [Managing VPS Apps](https://repocloud.io/docs/manage/vps-apps.md).

> **Customize with an AI Agent**
>
> On a server that AI Deploy set up, open the chat again from the manage page and ask the DevOps AI Agent to change how the application is set up. See [AI Agents](https://repocloud.io/docs/ai-agents/overview.md).

> **Save Favorites**
>
> Click the heart icon on any app in the marketplace to save it for later. View saved apps in the [Favorites](https://repocloud.io/favorites) tab.
